This contribution presents research and academic entrepreneurship at the Ca’ Foscari University Venice and focuses on one of its innovative spin-offs, VEASYT, the only spin-off in the linguistic and humanities areas. VEASYT offers digital solutions to overcome linguistic barriers and guarantee access to information and contents in particular to deaf people. It is the first company in Italy that offers video remote interpreting in Italian Sign Language to promote inclusion of deaf signers.

Abstract
