Blumenberg e la vitalità del mito

Hans Blumenberg's philosophy is, therefore, that of a reader. Even of an "absolute reader," as stated in the title of the sumptuous intellectual biography published in the centenary year of the philosopher's birth by Rüdiger Zill. An absolute reader who challenges the paradox of a task that, in light of "Work on Myth"(Arbeit am Mythos) we might define as "mythical," that is, certainly endowed with significance, but also interminable and, therefore, to be considered a regulative idea for the reader's perspective constituted by finite time. The world, in fact, requires ever more time, and we, made of time, are the measure of its significant limitation, of the widening of the temporal gap that he summarizes in a metaphor so dear to Blumenberg that he dedicated the largest part of his book on time to it, the ultimate root of the hesitations of the symbolic animals that we are.
