Komparativnyj podchod v ital'janskich issledovanijach o russkom glagol'nom vide

The article describes the comparative approach adopted by Italian linguists in their research on Russian verbal aspect. This framework enables the identification of specific features of the Russian aspectual system in contrast with the aspectual values expressed by verbal forms in Italian and other languages. Particular attention is devoted to the semantics of verbal aspect, issues of Russian verbal prefixation, the definiteness and indefiniteness of nouns within the utterance, and the pragmatics of aspectual usage.
