Un contributo alla ricerca multidisciplinare: le fonti edite e la letteratura critica

The search for sources on the Rocca Roveresca in Senigallia was aimed at filling the gaps that emerged from a comparison between bibliographic sources, published in different contexts, in some cases grey literature, and more strictly historical-critical literature with the results deriving from targeted and precise documentary research and with the data emerging from the investigations of the different working groups, for which this work was a necessary basis and useful tool for comparison. This contribution illustrates the thematic criteria according to which both the specific bibliography and the reference bibliography have been organised, with the aim of providing the commissioning institute with a digital tool, enriched by a rich selection of digitised sources, the latter subjected to critical evaluation, then collected and investigated, also illustrating their general characteristics and usefulness for the museum complex, both in terms of the evolutionary phases of the fortification and the life of the monumental complex, pointing out its progressive uses, up to its conversion into a museum, a recent achievement compared to other contemporary or geographically adjacent monuments.
