Raccomandazioni di policy per la riforma del Codice dei beni culturali e del paesaggio

This chapter presents a set of policy recommendations aimed at rethinking the Italian Cultural Heritage and Landscape Code in light of contemporary social and environmental challenges. Drawing on the outcomes of the CHANGES – NextGen Heritage project, the contribution addresses issues related to climate change, community participation, and the governance of cultural heritage. The recommendations advocate for a more inclusive, flexible, and process-oriented understanding of heritage, emphasising the role of communities, interdisciplinary knowledge, and shared responsibility in decision-making. By bridging research, policy, and practice, the chapter proposes concrete directions for aligning cultural heritage legislation with principles of sustainability, resilience, and social relevance.
