This article examines a range of acculturative processes that took place in the region once inhabited by the ancient Veneti, with the aim of assessing whether the transition from local cultures to the Roman world should be understood as a case of voluntary integration rather than coercive imposition. Through a critical reassessment of epigraphic sources written in the Latin language and alphabet, as well as of their communicative function, the study investigates the dynamics of cultural transition in a historical context largely unaffected by military conflict.

Abstract
This article examines a range of acculturative processes that took place in the region once inhabited by the ancient Veneti, with the aim of assessing whether the transition from local cultures to the Roman world should be understood as a case of voluntary integration rather than coercive imposition. Through a critical reassessment of epigraphic sources written in the Latin language and alphabet, as well as of their communicative function, the study investigates the dynamics of cultural transition in a historical context largely unaffected by military conflict.File in questo prodotto:
