The article analyzes the type of the ‘Louvre-Naples’ Aphrodite, offering an overview of the state of research and outlining its relationship with the type of Venus Genetrix in the Roman period, taking as case studies the statues of the so-called ‘Younger Antonia’ and the so-called ‘Younger Agrippina’, now in the Archaeological–Naturalistic Museum of Vicenza.
