The twenty-seventh volume of the Biographical Dictionary of the Czech Lands presents readers with the biographies of personalities whose names begin with the letters Hr–Hüb and represents another installment in the extensive encyclopedic project, developed in collaboration with over a hundred authors from academic, university, and other institutions under the guidance of the biographical team of the Institute of History of the Czech Academy of Sciences. As part of the project, approximately 25,000 biographical entries of personalities from all periods and fields of human activity connected with the Czech lands (regardless of ethnic origin) will be compiled, including those who were born, lived, or worked in the territory, even if they spent only part of their lives there.
