This essay argues that the short novel Inin Niwe y el mundo puro de los seres eternos, published by Peruvian writer Pedro Favaron in 2022, can be partially understood as a fairy tale, based on an analysis using Propp’s structural elements. This recognition makes it possible to identify a specific function of Inin Niwe’s fairy tale structure: conveying to the reader knowledge and teachings related to health and medicine, specifically rooted in the Amazonian Shipibo-Konibo culture.

Abstract
This essay argues that the short novel Inin Niwe y el mundo puro de los seres eternos, published by Peruvian writer Pedro Favaron in 2022, can be partially understood as a fairy tale, based on an analysis using Propp’s structural elements. This recognition makes it possible to identify a specific function of Inin Niwe’s fairy tale structure: conveying to the reader knowledge and teachings related to health and medicine, specifically rooted in the Amazonian Shipibo-Konibo culture.File in questo prodotto:
