The paper explores the concept of the Aristotelian episteme tes aletheias, in the context of the first book of the Metaphysics, which specifies the meaning of philosophical investigation as an attempt to stand above the differences of experience, acceding to the universal, and which provides for engaging in a comparison with the doctrines of the first thinkers on physis. In particular, it aims to highlight the contribution of pluralist physicists, taking advantage of the Aristotelian indications, put in relation to the Parmenidean ontological theme, through the appeal to dike, central in Anaximander and Heraclitus, confirmed by the Platonic parricide, in the Sophist.

Abstract
The paper explores the concept of the Aristotelian episteme tes aletheias, in the context of the first book of the Metaphysics, which specifies the meaning of philosophical investigation as an attempt to stand above the differences of experience, acceding to the universal, and which provides for engaging in a comparison with the doctrines of the first thinkers on physis. In particular, it aims to highlight the contribution of pluralist physicists, taking advantage of the Aristotelian indications, put in relation to the Parmenidean ontological theme, through the appeal to dike, central in Anaximander and Heraclitus, confirmed by the Platonic parricide, in the Sophist.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
