Aristotle's biological treatises represent not only the largest part of the entire corpus of his works but also the most creative and innovative works of his intellectual maturity, being a point of reference for reflection on life up to the present day. The present work represents a theoretical framework and a guide to the reading of these texts, thus offering, for the first time, a philosophical introduction to Aristotle’s biological thought in its complexity and richness. The founding father of life sciences still succeeds today in making fundamental theoretical contributions to contemporary reflection, showing everyone the beauty of life in all its forms, from the humblest to the highest.

Abstract
Aristotle's biological treatises represent not only the largest part of the entire corpus of his works but also the most creative and innovative works of his intellectual maturity, being a point of reference for reflection on life up to the present day. The present work represents a theoretical framework and a guide to the reading of these texts, thus offering, for the first time, a philosophical introduction to Aristotle’s biological thought in its complexity and richness. The founding father of life sciences still succeeds today in making fundamental theoretical contributions to contemporary reflection, showing everyone the beauty of life in all its forms, from the humblest to the highest.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
