The author recognizes the educational significance of conjecture expressions in Korean, as well as current issues in the educational field, and has sought methods to teach these expressions more practically and effectively in Korean language education. This book is a revised and supplemented version of the author’s doctoral dissertation and is structured as follows: Chapter 1 explores the concept and categories of modality, a broader category that encompasses conjecture expressions, and based on this, presents the concept and classifications of conjecture expressions. Chapter 2 selects suitable teaching items for Korean language education and examines the meanings and characteristics of each conjecture expression. Chapter 3 focuses on instructional methods for teaching conjecture expressions. It categorizes the selected expressions into beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, and provides appropriate teaching content and methods for each level, ensuring systematic and effective instruction.
