The article is devoted to the history of the birth of the Soviet multinational literature, which, although traditionally associated in domestic and foreign traditions with 1934 and the First Congress of Writers, in reality appeared in the 1920s. The main driving force of the multinational literary project as one of the leading components of the creation of a single Soviet nation was the party nomenklatura. The article examines the features of the interaction of the leaders of literary groups in the 1920s in the Soviet republics, where literary discussions were a form of intra-factional struggle.
