Through a comparative analysis of the action carried out by NPOs in the main Western Health systems, the study aims to examine their role within Health System in Veneto, Italy, as well as the social impact they have produced on essential levels of care, in terms of quality, efficiency, sustainability and integration. The volume is enriched by an extensive Appendix, which illustrates the most upto- date data relating to the various components of the Third Sector in Health Care.
