Abstract
Based on qualitative and quantitative data, this article sketches a narrative of this transformation and of the resulting new makeup of Porto Marghera’s workplaces and communities. Many of these changes reflect broader trends in Italian society, yet some – such as the marked shift from manufacturing to services employment and high immigration rates – are more pronounced and tied to Porto Marghera’s specific history as a working-class heartland in transition.File in questo prodotto:
