This paper aims to highlight one of the most important chapters of the history of Aristotelianism, that of Pietro Pomponazzi at the beginning of the 16th century. The analysis is carried out starting from the manuscripts of Pomponazzi’s lectures, which have been studied for more than a hundred years, but only from the standpoint of the history of ideas. The aim of this paper, instead, is to consider this material from another perspective, that of the history of knowledge, in order to show how Pomponazzi considered the multiple and diverse orders of knowledge of his times and how his lectures could convey methodologically, and not only from the standpoint of content, a new way of doing and teaching philosophy.
