This book presents a critical reflection on the positionality of researchers in engaged research, exploring different possible postures, and a range of methodological choices. As an outcome of seminars and conferences jointly held by the 3 authors from 2010 onward, the methodology and theory which anthropologists produce while doing research on and within social movements is scrutinized by investigating different possible approaches to the fieldwork. The book especially contributes to the analysis of reflexive practices in the study of activism and social mobilization, widening the existing debate - in Italy and abroad_ about the political role of the researcher in shaping, co-constructing and legitimizing political action in different critical contexts.

Abstract
This book presents a critical reflection on the positionality of researchers in engaged research, exploring different possible postures, and a range of methodological choices. As an outcome of seminars and conferences jointly held by the 3 authors from 2010 onward, the methodology and theory which anthropologists produce while doing research on and within social movements is scrutinized by investigating different possible approaches to the fieldwork. The book especially contributes to the analysis of reflexive practices in the study of activism and social mobilization, widening the existing debate - in Italy and abroad_ about the political role of the researcher in shaping, co-constructing and legitimizing political action in different critical contexts.I documenti in ARCA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
