Words and Ballots. A Textbook

This volume is as an English language textbook for students of Political Science. The texts and activities contained provide an introduction to the language used by the media and policy makers. The central and unifying theme is that of elections. The purpose of the text is particularly to help students develop reading and listening skills. The volume assumes language proficiency of at least B1 level as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference, but it can also be profitably used by students with more advanced language skills who want to improve their knowledge of English used in politics. The text can also be used for self-study, with the help of a good vocabulary and referring to the in-depth texts indicated at the end of the volume.
