The altarpiece presents Vincenzo de' Paoli, owner of the Fermo house, a saint dedicated in particular to the care spiritual and material misery, while delivering one of the sermons for which he became famous: one recalls, for example, the sermon he preached in Folleville on 25 January 1617, in which 'Monsieur Vincent' invited the faithful to confession and from which the action of evangelising the rural poor. poor of the countryside; he also introduced a simpler way of preaching than the redundant redundant Baroque oratory, which was called 'missionary style'.
