Five case‑studies of indirect tradition in the scholia to the Odyssey are discussed in this essay in terms of their methodological relevance: a careful exam-ination of the manuscript evidence, as well as a complete survey of the parallel pas-sages (the comparanda), helps to assess the plausibility of these quotations, their authorship, the vagaries of their wording, and the sources of the mythical versions at which they may hint.

Abstract
Five case‑studies of indirect tradition in the scholia to the Odyssey are discussed in this essay in terms of their methodological relevance: a careful exam-ination of the manuscript evidence, as well as a complete survey of the parallel pas-sages (the comparanda), helps to assess the plausibility of these quotations, their authorship, the vagaries of their wording, and the sources of the mythical versions at which they may hint.File in questo prodotto:
