The volume aims to explore the seriousness of the contradiction evoked by the Platonic Sophist, in the wake of the provocation of Parmenides, who invites the man who knows to judge in the light of logos the truth of being announced enigmatically by his poem On Nature. The chapters of the text, favoring the theoretical approach, therefore highlight some fundamental stages of the philosophical path aroused in ancient times by the aporia of nothingness and its repercussions, in the direction of the most relevant outcomes of contemporary thought, grappling with the crisis of knowledge and idea of ​​the world.
