To date, several studies have analysed the plurilingual and intercultural elements in contemporary Italian literature with migratory backgrounds, explored their interactions with recent film production, and included the teaching perspective. However, research regarding the connections between this literary corpus and TV series to teach Italian as a second/foreign language is still scarce. The aim of this essay is to examine the relationship between Sumaya Abdel Qader’s novels and "Skam Italia" through the analysis of the shared plurilingual and intercultural characteristics in order to encourage the integrated use of these resources within the Italian language and culture classroom.

Abstract
To date, several studies have analysed the plurilingual and intercultural elements in contemporary Italian literature with migratory backgrounds, explored their interactions with recent film production, and included the teaching perspective. However, research regarding the connections between this literary corpus and TV series to teach Italian as a second/foreign language is still scarce. The aim of this essay is to examine the relationship between Sumaya Abdel Qader’s novels and "Skam Italia" through the analysis of the shared plurilingual and intercultural characteristics in order to encourage the integrated use of these resources within the Italian language and culture classroom.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
