In this contribution, I'm presenting the features of the housing in Megara Hyblaea between the 4th and the 2nd centuries BCE that is, broadly speaking, from the times around the coming of Timoleon to the decades following the conquest of the Sicily by Rome. I come back first to the problems of chronology through a sketchy description of the urban context. I discuss then more accurately on the construction elements and the ground plans of some Hellenistic houses. To conclude, I give a synthetic view of this housing and to draw the lines of the research directions to come.

Abstract
In this contribution, I'm presenting the features of the housing in Megara Hyblaea between the 4th and the 2nd centuries BCE that is, broadly speaking, from the times around the coming of Timoleon to the decades following the conquest of the Sicily by Rome. I come back first to the problems of chronology through a sketchy description of the urban context. I discuss then more accurately on the construction elements and the ground plans of some Hellenistic houses. To conclude, I give a synthetic view of this housing and to draw the lines of the research directions to come.File in questo prodotto:
