Linking the research of language endangerment with well-being is a logical development for a field of study that has claimed that endangered languages provide unique ways of perception and cognition, connect to other speakers – past and present, foster cultural autonomy, and constitute an aesthetic resource. Speaking a language enriches individuals while losing it impoverishes them. When taking such a view on language diversity, a link to well-being does not seem far-fetched.

Abstract
Linking the research of language endangerment with well-being is a logical development for a field of study that has claimed that endangered languages provide unique ways of perception and cognition, connect to other speakers – past and present, foster cultural autonomy, and constitute an aesthetic resource. Speaking a language enriches individuals while losing it impoverishes them. When taking such a view on language diversity, a link to well-being does not seem far-fetched.File in questo prodotto:
