The monographic issue of MDCCC 1800 "Drawing in the Nineteenth-Century Arts: Architecture, Landscape, Photography" proposes an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary reflection on the relationship between drawing and other media and artistic techniques in the European and global context in the 19th century, through original contributions that present both the analysis of specific cases and broader considerations. The essays dwell on the study of single relevant episodes in the production of a certain artist or context; or on the design of artefacts, buildings and architectural complexes; or on the educational journey, through graphic design, of architects, painters, photographers and artisans; or, finally, on the historical-critical discourse on drawing.
