This article analyzes the different meanings that the notion of vulnerability – increasingly used in the legal and political language - assumes with reference to labour exploitation. More precisely, it seeks to examine whether and in what way European and national legislation, and the case law of the European Court of human rights and of the Italian courts, take into account the complexity of this notion, from an intersectional perspective.
