The article is fobased on ethnographic research carried out between Buenos Aires and Montevideo. It analyses the spiritual trajectories of interlocutors with a Catholic upbringing and generational continuities and ruptures. It also considers the link between religious and political beliefs and the influence of the dictatorship on the spiritual path.
