The fact that the Korean plural marker '-deul' is not currently considered an explicit vocabulary or grammar item in Korean grammar education has already been noted in previous research. Since the International Standard Korean Education Curriculum (2017), which serves as the basis for most Korean language education research and textbook development, also does not classify the plural marker '-deul' as a grammar or vocabulary item, there is no common standard for its meaning and function, and different researchers may have different criteria for grammar content. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to first clearly define the grammatical peculiarities of the plural marker '-deul' for Korean learners based on a comparison with Italian plural suffixes and then provide grammar content to teach it at various learning stages.
