In this volume he presents some events of alienation of artistic heritage in the central-southern Marche region after the promulgation of the Pacca edict, with particular attention to the "fortunes of the primitives" and the episodes that featured Vito Enei, a merchant from Monte Vidon Corrado, active between Le Marche and Rome in the years preceding national unification. Also presented is a documentary review of the long process of forfeiture of former cloisters and, as part of that theme, new light new documents on the famous alienation of the Madonna of the Swallow by Carlo Crivelli, from Matelica and today preserved at the National Gallery in London.
