The contribution, after focusing on the definition of "Petrarchism", analyzes the phenomenon in its most significant expressions of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, considering the work of Pietro Bembo as a dividing factor. The analysis is conducted with regard to the macrostructure "canzoniere", interpreted and declined in very different ways with the passage of time, increasingly distant from the Petrarchan archetype.
Il contributo, dopo essersi soffermato sulla definizione di "petrarchismo", analizza il fenomeno nelle sue espressioni più significative del Quattrocento e del Cinquecento, considerando come discrimine l'opera di Pietro Bembo. L'analisi è condotta con riguardo alla macrostruttura "canzoniere", interpretata e declinata in modi assai differenti con il procedere del tempo, sempre più lontani dall'archetipo petrarchesco.
