In this paper, I aim to explore Cesalpino’s logic and epistemology by (1) examining his theoretical reflections and (2) assessing whether these came to affect his practice and activity as a naturalist. Indeed, it was not unusual for Aristotelian philosophers to teach, preach and practice three very different approaches to natural investigations all at the same time.
