This chapter traces the evolution of the socio-political commitment of Gioseffa Cornoldi Caminer (c. 1758-?) in the fields of instruction and education. It juxtaposes her editorial work for the magazine "La donna galante ed erudita", published between 1786 and 1788, and her translations of pro-women and egalitarian works during the revolutionary period of the Municipalità provvisoria di Venezia (1796-1797), showing how her radicalism has its roots in La donna galante.
