A conversation with Italian artist (based in Venice) Maria Morganti on her daily practice. Quantifying and recording time is an affirmation of the artist's being-in-the-world, a manifesto of herself and her actions. The construction of taxonomies of color (and not only), which are different but complementary to each other, is a crucial gesture for Morganti. It is a self-interpretative activity that gives shape to what one could call "a visual autobiography", or rather, "an archive of time"; a title that the artist chose for her online archive (a sort of meta-archive) in which she has been collecting and organizing all of her work.

Abstract
A conversation with Italian artist (based in Venice) Maria Morganti on her daily practice. Quantifying and recording time is an affirmation of the artist's being-in-the-world, a manifesto of herself and her actions. The construction of taxonomies of color (and not only), which are different but complementary to each other, is a crucial gesture for Morganti. It is a self-interpretative activity that gives shape to what one could call "a visual autobiography", or rather, "an archive of time"; a title that the artist chose for her online archive (a sort of meta-archive) in which she has been collecting and organizing all of her work.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
