In this article, I will introduce Hanja (Chinese character) textbooks for non-Chinese-characther-using foreigners and introduce the strategies and individual characteristics that each textbook has in common. Among them, six Hanja textbooks will be selected and introduced. After examining their characteristics, the most recently published Hanja textbooks in Italy, (2022) will be selected to provide a teaching model of how this textbook is used in actual classes. Finally, we will review the future direction of Hanja education and the tasks of textbook development.

Abstract
