Il "teatro" della Commedia. Dante e il genere drammatico

With "dramatic" (or "active") is indicated in the late antique and middle-age tradition Latin the genre in which only the characters speak and the author is silent. In the Comm- dia Dante addresses his readers – while the writing freezes on the page e the book is composed – but it is at the same time the first character, in a construction dialogic, in the time of the journey to the afterlife, which arises between the dozens and dozens of people introduced to speak. Comedians, also intended as actors and singers of piazza, canto, cantica, and of course comedy and tragedy (in the meaning of the matter, or of the content and not in a stylistic sense) are, in a broader pious constellation, the words that guide the argumentative thread of the volume: non to attribute a retrospective "theatricality" to the Comedy, but to retrace some traces of an idea of ​​"theatre" within the historically determined limits of medieval awareness.
