Cultural heritage is proposed as an innovative and interdisciplinary approach to Japanese culture and literature. Heritage studies took momentum in the last 20 years, proposing a view of heritage that is no more focused on objects or tangible things but rather on social and cultural processes that are basically intangible. In this article I propose the category of "textual heritage" as a tool to relativize the divide between tanbile and intangible heritage, and to read Japanese classical literature under a new light.

Abstract
Cultural heritage is proposed as an innovative and interdisciplinary approach to Japanese culture and literature. Heritage studies took momentum in the last 20 years, proposing a view of heritage that is no more focused on objects or tangible things but rather on social and cultural processes that are basically intangible. In this article I propose the category of "textual heritage" as a tool to relativize the divide between tanbile and intangible heritage, and to read Japanese classical literature under a new light.File in questo prodotto:
