In anticipation of the fieldwork, a preliminary analysis of the aerial imagery relevant to this territory was carried out, selecting the photogrammetric material on the basis of the year of acquisition, the completeness of the survey, and the visibility, determined mainly by the atmospheric conditions and the altitude at which the surveys had been carried out. This area of study was systematically taken up at a later stage of the survey, when it was necessary to verify the anomalies identified in the field and thus for the purpose of a comprehensive understanding of the characterization of the area, based on the different tools available. Some innovative products used in Remote Sensing were also exploited in the data reprocessing phase.
