The burials from the cemetery of Andrazza have been analysed following both an archaeological and anthropological approach in an attempt to answer both general issues and specific questions tied-in to an early medieval site, located near the Alps. Over the course of four excavation campaigns (2008-2011) a total of 21 graves were identified and documented. Except for one collective burial (Grave 1), all the individuals were placed in single burial pits. Although the complexity of stratigraphic analysis, caused by undifferentiated layers, a kind of stone line-up was identified in some graves. Most of the interments were accompanied by grave goods, such as items of adornment and jewellery.

Abstract
The burials from the cemetery of Andrazza have been analysed following both an archaeological and anthropological approach in an attempt to answer both general issues and specific questions tied-in to an early medieval site, located near the Alps. Over the course of four excavation campaigns (2008-2011) a total of 21 graves were identified and documented. Except for one collective burial (Grave 1), all the individuals were placed in single burial pits. Although the complexity of stratigraphic analysis, caused by undifferentiated layers, a kind of stone line-up was identified in some graves. Most of the interments were accompanied by grave goods, such as items of adornment and jewellery.I documenti in ARCA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
