Abstract

The early medieval cemetery at Andrazza, in Forni di Sopra (UD), was uncovered at the end of the 19th century. During the construction of some dwellings in 1890, Alexander Wolf, an Austrian scholar, was called upon to address the accidental discovery of human remains. Luckily, a detailed map and some manuscripts written by Wolf himself were preserved at the Udine’s Library, providing us with the basic information to identify this archaeological site and to plan a methodical investigation.
