This contribution analyzes the phenomenon of multilingualism in Calabria and Sicily during the Norman doomination, with regard to manuscript production. Pluringual codices (Latin-Greek-Arabic) of the Twelth Century are: Marc. gr. Z. 11 (coll. 379), Marc. gr. Z. 539 (coll. 303), and Lond. Harlòley 5786. In addition to these manuscripts we must mention also par. Suppl. gr. 11, written shortly before the beginning of the Norman age. We discuss their dating and location as well as how the Arabic-speaking, Greek and latin scribes colaborated, on the basis of paleographical, textual and material aspects with the aim of clarifying their production.
