When in contact with an articulated and complex text such as comics, the collaborative approach to translation reveals its potential. This work aims to enrich the investigation on collaborative translation by proposing a hypothesis of “commonality of spirit” between collaborative translation and comics. At the basis of this hypothesis there are some shared characteristics such as mediation as a constitutive and operational core, and the questioning of the Author – and the Translator- as a single creative agent. The present work aims to be a starting point to a future investigation on the advantages that Collaborative translation can offer to the translation of comics, especially in the didactic field.

Abstract
When in contact with an articulated and complex text such as comics, the collaborative approach to translation reveals its potential. This work aims to enrich the investigation on collaborative translation by proposing a hypothesis of “commonality of spirit” between collaborative translation and comics. At the basis of this hypothesis there are some shared characteristics such as mediation as a constitutive and operational core, and the questioning of the Author – and the Translator- as a single creative agent. The present work aims to be a starting point to a future investigation on the advantages that Collaborative translation can offer to the translation of comics, especially in the didactic field.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
