The papers brought together in the present volume offer exciting insights on various aspects of minority languages of the vast territories of Northeast Asia, geographically stretching from Siberian Russia to Mongolia and northwest China. The rich selection of contributions covers various aspects of language endangerment, ethnolinguistic vitality, emic and etic approaches at language preservation, as well as contact-linguistics, and surely represents an important contribution to the Indigenous Languages Decade, which has right now started (2022-2032).
