Matrone nella Tarda Repubblica Romana: Fulvia ‘pioniera’ in politica e nella vita privata

Fulvia was a ‘pioneer’ in Roman politics and society in the 1st century BCE. Ancient sources illustrate important events of her life, despite their tendency to neglect women’s actions; this is a consequence of her ties with some of the politica preeminent figures, but also of the exceptional nature of her conduct. Fulvia, in fact, significantly engraved in politics, inaugurating ways of public acting previously precluded to matrons.
