During the last few decades, large-scale facilities such as synchrotrons and neutron or laser laboratories have increased their presence in the field of cultural heritage (CH) science, offering a portfolio of non- or micro-destructive analytical techniques to a wide community of archaeologists, art historians, conservators, and restorers. For this reason and due to the particular interaction between CH operators and scientists, Elettra, the SR facility based in Trieste (Italy), has designed a platform dedicated to CH researchers in order to provide them dedicated assistance, from the design and preparation of the experiments, from the acquisition of the experimental data to their analysis and interpretation.

Abstract
