The generative and transformative valence of integral philosophical practices acts in view of promoting the well-being of the person and of the context in which s/he lives; these practices can therefore be of inspiration also to physicians in fulfi lling the practice of medical care for the human being, intended both as care of the assisted person and as care of the self. Philosophical practices can be a valid instrument to establish effective relations with patients, family members and colleagues, but also – and especially – they can provide a horizon of reference to discover and reinforce the daily motivation towards the medical profession. In this perspective, integral philosophical practices develop as an avenue for the care of the self and of the context in which the self works. Abstract
By commenting some passages from Plato’s dialogues, and establishing a comparison with the philosophy of Luce Irigaray, the author proposes an analysis of the concept of relationality as a composition of different elements – elements in search of a harmonious balan ce able to safeguard the mobile and evolving equilibrium between closeness and distance.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
