Nel 2001, al Centro Linguistico Interfacoltà dell'Università di Venezia, un gruppo di lavoro coordinato dall'autore ha svolto un progetto di riforma della nomenclatura dei livelli di corso (inglese, francese, spagnolo, tedesco, italiano come lingua straniera) per raggiungere una maggiore trasparenza e uniformità grazie al “Common European Framework” (CEF) del Consiglio d'Europa. Inoltre il progetto doveva rendere più chiara e fruibile la certificazione di frequenza e profitto rilasciata dal Centro Linguistico. Il contributo descrive le motivazioni del progetto, presenta il quadro di riferimento (livelli e descrittori di competenza del CEF) e discute i vari metodi per rapportare questi livelli al sistema di corsi preesistenti . In 2001, at the Language Center of the University of Venice, a group of teachers coordinated by the author conducted a project which aimed at the relabelling of course levels (English, French, Spanish, German, Italian as a FL), for the purpose of a greater trasparency and uniformity through reference to the Common European Framework (CEF) proposed by the Council of Europe. Furthermore the project should make clearer and more useful the attendance and proficiency certification released by the Language Center. The article illustrates the motivations of the project, presents the framework of reference (levels and proficiency descriptors of CEF) and discusses the different methods of matching these levels with the preceding course system.
