Edizione critica di un corpus epigrafico inedito.
This volume concludes the publication of the Epigraphic Collections of Western Greece, that of the Archaeological Museums of Agrinio and Thyrio, and represents the fruit of more than twenty years of collaboration, in the field of Greek epigraphy, between the Ca' Foscari University of Venice and the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, with the support of the Hellenic XXXVI Ephoria Proïstorikon & Klassikon Archaiotiton. In addition to some already known texts, the collection essentially includes the epigraphic discoveries of the last seventy years for a total of 301 epigraphic texts, and the Addenda to Agrinio's volume (70 epigraphic texts): it therefore constitutes the first overall and coordinated scientific edition of Aetolian and Acarnanian epigraphy from the time of Günther Klaffenbach. The archaeological and historical-epigraphic investigation of Aetolia and Acarnania has been profoundly renewed in recent decades: in this panorama of growing dynamism of research on western Greece, this collection responds to the need of the scientific public to have direct access to the epigraphic documentation of a region today in many respects at the center of critical interest.

Abstract
The archaeological and historical-epigraphic investigation of Aetolia and Acarnania has been profoundly renewed in recent decades: in this panorama of growing dynamism of research on western Greece, this collection responds to the need of the scientific public to have direct access to the epigraphic documentation of a region today in many respects at the center of critical interest.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
