Renzo e i suoi compagni. Una microstoria sindacale del Veneto

The book is the outcome of a research conducted with the methods of oral history and microhistory on the figure of communist trade unionist Renzo Donazzon. It is not a biography, but an attempt to grasp a subjectivity and, through the trajectory of a popular leader of rural origin and his comrades, investigate the history of the Veneto region from backwardness to “widespread industrialization”, up to the major changes in the political context of 1989-91.

Il volume è l’esito di una ricerca condotta con gli strumenti della storia orale e della microstoria intorno alla figura del sindacalista comunista Renzo Donazzon. Non è una biografia, ma il tentativo di afferrare una soggettività e, attraverso la traiettoria di un leader popolare periferico di origine contadina e dei suoi compagni, indagare la storia del Veneto dall’arretratezza all’“industrializzazione diffusa”, fino ai grandi cambiamenti del contesto politico degli anni 1989-91.
