This work proposes an artistic review of Quevedo's horological poetry in two steps: first, the corpus in question is duly presented and its strong Italian brand is reviewed; then comes the examination of the texts from a material culture perspective that takes into account both art and history, or—in the proper order—the material base and its immediate artistic reflection.
