Venice has always had an irresistible appeal for the Armenians, who can find there evident or forgotten traces of their ancestors under the cloths of pilgrims or merchants, monks, artists and literary figures, ambassadors, and even sovereigns. Venice is proud to have the oldest ‘Casa armena’ in Europe, in Calle delle Lanterne, later renamed as Calle degli Armeni.

Abstract
